Position Description

The Nursing and Allied Health Summer Student (MAHSS) will assist with several process improvement projects under the supervision of the Clinical Manager of the Sears Cancer Clinic specifically related to the Leukemia and Lymphoma patient population. The student will work with an interdisciplinary team and play an important role in data collection and analysis and supporting recommendations for improved clinic flow and patient care.

The NAHSS program specifies that all students will have the following responsibilities;

  • Must attend summer student lectureships/relevant education rounds
  • Present a poster at the summer student poster day
  • Submit a one-page project report at the end of the contract

Here’s What You Need:

  • Availability to work 35 hr/week for length of project – combination of virtually and on site at SickKids
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate Nursing program, or other undergraduate program with an interest in healthcare
  • Experience with Excel
  • Interest in Oncology, patient and family experience and process improvement

Employment Type: Full Time, Summer contract (6-8 weeks)
