Responsibilities:

In this role your main responsibility will be to assemble and disassemble rental equipment (under supervision) as well as assemble liner systems (under supervision) per work instructions. You will also assist senior workshop personnel in the preparation and testing of Rental & Intervention equipment.
You will be expected to follow a specified learning plan that will include various computer-based learning modules as well as classroom training. During this phase, you may take on miscellaneous tasks as assigned by your Supervisor. You will apply standard techniques, procedures and criteria to perform tasks strictly in accordance to Weatherford standards. You will also receive close supervision, and thorough review of all work performed for application of sound professional judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To maintain/redress tools as per procedure or as per supervisor requests and completing relevant paperwork.
  • Conduct hydraulic pressure tests to ensure integrity of made up assemblies
  • To prepare equipment and taking part in loading/unloading when sending/receiving equipment to/from the rig site.
  • Operate overhead cranes and fork lifts.
  • Perform slinging as per regulation.
  • To ensure that workshop is in a clean state at all times.
  • Organization and verification of metrology and equipment calibration
  • Maintenance of equipment in proper form
  • Must understand and comply with all Quality and Safety rules and company policies of Weatherford

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of the oil and gas industry with exposure to service rigs.
  • Positive attitude and work ethic.
  • Flexible in your working availability.
  • Enthusiastic about working in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Mechanical aptitude with a passion in this area.
  • Experience with relevant computer systems and applications – JD Edwards would be desirable, but not essential.
