What you will do:

In the role of Service Technician your primary responsibility is installing, repairing, and troubleshooting commercial kitchen equipment at customer locations. You will diagnose faults, analyze issues and refer to schematic diagrams to repair and/or replace equipment. You will be interacting directly with our valued customers and service dispatch team in a professional and courteous manner.

What you will bring:

• Work independently to install, troubleshoot, repair and perform planned maintenance on commercial kitchen equipment
• Diagnose faults, analyze issues and refer to service manuals, schematic diagrams, and manufacturer technical support to repair and/or replace equipment
• Travel safely to customer locations, company office and off-site meeting locations
• Interacting with customers at their various locations
• Maintain communication with service team members via mobile device, in-person or email
• Complete work orders using online platform as required on mobile devices
• Responsible for care of and coordinating the maintenance of service vehicle (at company cost)
• Maintain accuracy and availability of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts provided within assigned service vehicle and attend mandatory OEM training as required which may be out of province/country
• Participate in health & safety training/protocols and practise proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Other jobs as required

What you will have:

• 5 years+ of experience as a Service Technician. Experience working in the food service industry is an asset.
• Valid Gas Fitter G1 License
• Excellent communication and customer service skills with strong problem solving skills and the ability to defuse challenging situations
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Possess mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
• Required to maintain applicable provincial licensing in good standing (Gas, Refrigeration, Electrical, Welding, Plumbing, etc.)
• Valid full provincial driver’s license in good standing
• Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs/22 kgs
• Available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week including occasional overnight shifts
• Mandatory participation in the on-call rotation shift including weekends
• Commercial Kitchen Equipment could be helpful.
• Overtime may be required
