Job Summary
The Geography Department at Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) invites applications for a temporary full-time (100% non-regular type 2) faculty position in Human Geography from September 1, 2019 to August 31, 2020. Expertise and ability in Human Geography is required. Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD and a record of excellence in undergraduate teaching.

Candidates should be capable of teaching a combination of the department’s core Human Geography courses, with a focus on Urban Geography, including the following:
GEOG 1101 – Human Geography
GEOG 2380 – Qualitative Methods in Geography
GEOG 3130 – Society and Urban Space
GEOG 3220 – Urban Politics and Planning

Courses associated with this position will be taught on the Surrey campus in Fall 2019 (September-December) and Spring 2020 (January-April) terms. A full-time teaching load at KPU is eight course sections per year.
