Job Description:

• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods from the Bâton Rouge menu
• Clean kitchen and work areas
• Learn food safety regulations
• Comply with preparation time standards
• Maintain consistency in the quality of the preparations as per taste, appearance
• and cooking time
• Comply with the Bâton Rouge recipes
• Apply health regulations as to cleanliness
• Apply safety regulations
• Unpack and store provisions in the refrigerators, the storage room and other storage areas
• Store the products and preparations according to the specified conservation period
• Rotate inventory

Requirements:

Education: Some secondary school is required

Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field are required. If the candidate does not have at least 2 years of experience a post-secondary certificate is required.

Language: French or English is required

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods, Physically demanding, Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Attention to detail, Work under pressure

Salary: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour – 40 Hours per week.

Other information:

The position requires flexibility in the schedule. The candidate will work 5 days per week. The schedule includes weekends and different shifts. The candidate will be entitled to a rest period of at least 32 consecutive hours per week.
